Valencia CF and captain José Luis Gayà were protagonists in an interview with WOWOW, the Japanese rights holders to LaLiga and UEFA European Championships.

The fullback said that "whenever I go out onto the pitch with the captain's armband, I try to set an example as a captain," and sent a special message to fans of the club in Japan. The country has a Peña supporters group in the Asian country, inaugurated in 2018 and boasting over 70 members.
